3. Written by salty ***, on 28-11-2009 12:24 You suck, swift has 20,000 drivers. If 10%are unhappy that's 2000. How many posts are here. My point being the cream always rises to the top. The sht to the bottom. People want to blame everyone but themselves for failures in their life. I make 60k after taxes driving, mentor for swift. They gave me a job and opportunity and I hit it out the park. I am the reason for my success and I will quit on my terms. I suggest America wake up and realize we are responsible for our success not Jerry,George, Obama, or Tennessee. Adapt and overcome you wuss, or taste the salt
4. Written by mollie, on 28-09-2009 12:24 I went thru swift for traing how do you figure its a free handout (Weasel, Sandman)? After 2 1/2 years of driving my license was cancelled by Tn also and I unfortunately live in Tn. My skills test were taken at the Dept of Safety it was dept of safety's employess that were crooked and passinbg people who had failed(helpers, intructors girlfriends etc..) the legitimate ones that actually passed are paying the price now. Did you know that Dept of Safety can at any time they feel necessary can cancel your drivers license ?It has taken me 2 months to get all required document to retest and I still have to redo pretrip & drive think its gonna get done or scheduled any quicker then the 2 months I doubt it. I have lost my job, my truck is about ready to be repossessed since I cant pay my truck payment and my relationship thanks to Tn Dept of Safety. thats who I plan on sueing no charges were or have been filed against Swift but if you think Swift is blameless in this think again. They have offered no help in this bs mess all you do is get the run around on the phone call corporate they send you to memphis who send you to that school whos phone ring and where you cant leave voicemail because they are full, real stand up company huh oh yeah and they still want your payment for the tuition yeah right? If you think any other way you must be one of their recruiters who are full of s@*t or a driver manager . Yeah I will try to sue swift also but with a crook for an owner who doesnt care about anything but what he can steal from others what do you expect?
5. Written by toslow, on 21-09-2009 09:20 Swift is the scum. I went to their school. They bring you to Millington TN, you take a 3 day class and study for the written exam, they take you in to the DMV to take the written exam -if you pass you go to driving school. If you fail you get a bus ticket home. Once you pass the written test you give up your state license, the motel that you'd be staying in for the next 30 days becomes your permanent resident for that TN license. You train at their facility, go on the road with *** Owner Operators that won't ever own their lease trucks, put up with their ***, and if you don't complain to the office about the trainer using you to go forward and not getting backing practice, you will fail the final skills test and have to go back out on the road with another driver for 2-3 weeks. In my case I had to do one more week before I passed the final skills test -thanks to a wonderful finishing trainer. I got cussed up so bad by the first trainer a prejudice red neck, that I had to call the office to try and get off the truck. The office never called me back. So I sucked it in and got back on the train to no where. I wrote-up the trainer, they fired him once they realized that they never called me back, and that I had a wittiness to my final tongue wippin' from the trainer. I then go back to my state to wait for Swift to call me to get assigned to my truck. I followed up, and went in, in person to see my assigned driver manager, whom I never met, because I was told he was to busy chasing skirts. So I said screw it. I got another Class A driving job, and never looked back on Swift. I now own 2 truck and have my own operating authority, and all the headaches that come with it. At least I only have myself to blame for my screw-ups, and praise for my successes and not have to put up with others bull ***, well other than shippers, and consignees. As for the $5,000 for the training -screw Swift, I never paid them. Sure they charged it off and it hit my credit report, and is still on there. *** it hasn't stopped me from buying a home, 2 trucks and whatever else I need. *** this is America. You can get anything you want. You can also screw others the way they ***. I win. The irony however, is that I received real good training at Swift, to bad the driver manager wasn't taking care of business the way he was supposed to, and put me to work at .28cpm to get back the tuition. I am a business man you can't stop me. I moved on. So the moral of the story is don't make excuses, and blame others because you fail, or get set back. instead of wasting time suing Swift, get back into another school and get a CDL and get driving to success -not unless you can't drive and you were rejected by Swift.
6. Written by Watcher, on 21-08-2009 00:39 Since when does a "school" issue a CDL? Last I knew you had to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and pass some tests.
7. Written by Timmy, on 19-08-2009 17:39 THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO ME ALSO I AM TRING TO FIND A TRUCK TO TAKE MY ROAD TEST IN IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT CAN HELP LET ME KNOW THANKS TIMMY
8. Written by weasel, on 25-05-2009 20:51 why didnt you look into a local votech or something other than a free handout. Some of us actually went to other schools and paid for it ourselves without government backing. Then we hired into swift and worked hard and now have great jobs driving with great schedules to boot. ![]()
9. Written by sandman, on 18-05-2009 15:16 wow do you think you can sue swift.....haha goodluck with that. mayb you should do like other normal people do and just find another job and stop b*tchin so much.
10. Written by Another Student, on 16-05-2009 21:02 Hmm... Did you lose your CDL because of Swift or did Swift send you back to your home state and you failed your skills and driving test? Sounds to me, you spent the last "couple of years" trying to find the easy way, instead of doing the job you were hired to do.
