That truck want go 80 mph unless its a Owner Operator. Company Truck will only go 63mph MAX!!!!

NO Matter what unless going down hill. then they get speed cam violation. and DM call on there cell within 5-10mins. and Its not Swift responability to strip the decals off of trailers once sold did the tractor have a Giant Yellow S on sleeper or say leased to Swift.

If not it wasn't a swift Truck, and other trucking firms rent swift trailers, We have 57,000 trailers and 27,000 trucks and 30,000 drivers. nation wide...

Horrible training. Mentors that take the extra pay and don't teach what you need to know. Find yourself sitting and frustrated cause you have to wing it. Look at another company before here. It's a big market.

Well since the cameras proven you were at fault and did not give the full 8 seconds for a semi to stop or space in between, and cut them of without a turn signal, then your I'll fate is on you, remember 80 thousands pounds hitting you and your family because you did not give space or the driver time to get over like you would anyone else, stop your winning,

Swift is either going out of business and going under,,,or they're lying about something,,,my old man has a million safe miles,,,the only loads he gets is enough to make the rig payment after that,,,we are behind in just the basic living,,something is wrong,,,,hope I'm not the only one that sees this,,,

Terrible Drivers

Your driver truck #SWFZ152472 License #P420332 drove me off the road while I was merging in Lincoln City, Oregon. I had the clear right away, your driver however decided he was more important and passed me after the lane had already gone down to one lane.

We the locals of Lincoln City are going to start a petition to have your trucks banned from our highways due to the continued violations committed by your very incompetent and careless drivers.

You should train your drivers to more courteous and aware of other drivers. You are by far the worst driving company in North America.

That's the trailer # not the truck #, it won't identify anything. A trailer goes through 100s of drivers a year.

Swift Driver almost killed my grandchildren and me

Between 2:30 and 2:40pm est Swfc996259 licence plate 355 0bc. pulled out of the Bremen In exit onto highway 6, traveling toward US highway 31. pulled out right in front of me. I was going between 55 and 60 miles per hour and had to slam on my breaks. Very upset by this drivers lack of concern for me and my grand children who were in the car with me. I would hope that Swift reads and takes these complaints seriously. i had to wonder if this driver was affected by drugs, alcohol, lack of sleep, vision problems, or just poor judgement. A very poor representative of your company!

I've worked for Swift for 9 months and have found that 90% of the former employee complaints are bs and the other 10% are just things that happen in the industry as a whole. Most of the former employees seem to always leave out the parts about how they f'd up. The company bends over backwards to be fair. A lot of these complainers are people that no other company would even give a chance. The fact is, Moyes might be too nice. He says everybody should have a chance and he has created a place for that.

Yep Jerry is good guy. now some DM not so good but, But work hard and they will come around if no accidents and good on time Performance, and take most loads offered not every load but 85% and will have no problem I drive out of Memphis terminal, I like Lancaster they feed you in drivers lounge every day at noon., Baked chicken, Tatar salad, baked beans and bread and drink.

Try it...Lardo, Memphis, Memphis to Larado , Memphis to St Louis or Detriot, Memphis to Orlando. My 3 lanes love em....Truck 164***

Guest

Whatever. I just went through three weeks of training only to find out I was lied to the whole time and that I would not be in the region they said I would be in and the instructors in greer are horrible. And I'm not leaving any parts out certainly not paying them a dime for training they cost me couple hundred dollars and food and fuel since they have me drive my own vehicle

Guest

Keep playing the puppet. You will be wishing you didn't go work for them.

Guest

The fleet management at the different terminals need to get on the same page, misleading someone is on them. People who work hard for their CDL, don't need to loose it due to ignorant expectations by terminal management.

8 out of 15 in our class quit swift abruptly due to negligence by so called Mentors who used a student for extra $$$ .

They found better jobs elsewhere and shutter at the word Swift. Change ur attitude, people aren't your ***.

Poor support & awful staff members. Always waiting for a load... No respect for the drivers or their family. Tell you one thing, while taking the sword out of your back. This is a company,to get your foot in & run like h€ll.... You do your 34 hours in the middle of nowhere. Pay sucks. Just get in & get your training and run. There is no training and you are thrown out on your own. When you make a mistake, they won't tell you what is the correct way. You are only a number, not a person to this company

I have been employed by swift for 6 years. A person was drunk at the guard entrance to apply for a position in the swift shops.the security guard had to blow in his breathalyzer the get his auto out of the line of traffic.they called swift and he was able to get employed with record speed.

He is driving swift trucks one ownership trucks on the Wal-Mart properties. He was recently released from jail with alcohol related convection s . He was off work for an extended period of time with no pto time and YES he is still employed by swift.

This is a very unsafe position for other employees working with him and a very unsafe for him to be on the property. Last time I looked at the employee hand book, swift had a 0 tolerance of alcohol .

Swift Transportation - Review in Transportation and Storage category

To the Swift driver in tractor 164921 parked at the TA in Sparks, NV, you are exactly why Swift drivers are looked down upon and treated like idiots, not only are you parked in a bobtail space with your trailer sticking into the space behind you, your tractor is obviously well into the lane of traffic and you're blocking the view of any driver coming around the corner. Given the fact that now another driver has clipped your tractor coming around the corner, you should have enough sense to MOVE!

Yet there you sit proving to everyone that Swift drivers are the *** everyone thinks you are.

No, I can't believe you are so *** that you cannot see you are in a bobtail space with your tractor blocking one lane of traffic, so it must be that you just don't care, and that makes more of an *** than a ***. Good job.

Just beacuse he parked wrong doesnt mean the other tractor couldn't drive either because he still hit him with all that room out front to swing wide and miss him.. and guess who at fault the tractor that hit him because he hit him.....

just like parking over the line in trailer parking not right but if someone hits your rig they still at fault because they hit you. just like parking on the side of the interstate if you rig is legally off the road and gets hit whom ever hits is at fault...because they hit it.....

Guest

he could be a new driver. probably is. rather worrying they let people that can't even park properly operate the truck in the first place.

Dispatcher tries to push an illegal load on me

Picked up my bills from the dispatch window at the Phoenix terminal. Was a load going to California. The scale ticket that came with the bills was close. Once I hooked up to my load, had to get the tandems set to 40'. Scaled the load in the yard, now I'm too heavy on the tandems by about 300 pounds. Asked dispatch if I could get another load and "she" said that "she" had been instructed to get that load out of the yard. I told her, "if you try to push that load on me, I'm going to report you to safety". The dispatcher's husband was standing right behind her when she said that, and he heard what I said to her, and he shut her up before anything else was said.

My boyfriend works for swift. He has been on the road since he started with the company. He is waiting for loads. More than driving. Pay sucks hasnt gotten a full check since he started. The company asked him when he would like time off he told them march. They told him that he had to return the truck so they can get a driver in it while he was off. How is that possible when he sat around for days waiting for loads and was told there wasnt any loads.Wifi sucks doesnt work. How can you expect drivers to do a good job for your company with having accidents. There is no incentive for them to even wantvto stay with your company. But they have to pay back all the money to you if they quit. Maybe that is why you are making it hard for the drivers so they will quit and end up paying you 5,000 dollars. Not a great company to work for. Swift doesnt have a great rep it tation. Maybe you meed to fux that.

The Wifi is not for the driver to use its for the Qualcom and Drive Cam to send Data back to Memphis Terminal HQ... thats where safety is located.

Guest

First off the trucks do not have WiFi, they have Satellite. Second it sounds like he is a new driver and because you sign a contract for training and have to work for the company for so many months, the loan that he is carrying that covered his training has to be paid back if the driver quits.

It sound like you do not know the whole story or your boyfriend is not telling you the truth.

Swift does not keep their company drivers sitting around for days. It is up to the driver to make sure that dispatch is aware of their hours and also ready for a load, along with willing to take any load or even moving trailers from lots to rail or rail to lots for other drivers to pick up.

I have worked in the industry for one of the competition and there were times that I could spend a whole weekend in Chicago at the terminal I worked out of and be sent to pick up from the terminal loads that were local, along with going to the rail yards to pick up or drop trailers and either deliver the load locally or take it back to the terminal.

I made more money on the weekends when I wanted to have a break from days of long driving, then I did making runs 900 to 1200 miles and then having to travel up to 200 miles bob tailing to go grab a trailer and go on another trip.

As for the company needing the truck during his time off. It is their truck, not his. It is called hot seating.

The truck does not make money when the wheels are not turning. The company also has bills to pay.

It has nothing to do with who he is. All trucking companies need their trucks back at the terminals or a drop point, so that those drivers who may be waiting for their truck to get done in the shop or have just come off of training can use it.

I am a current Swift driver. I am under an academic contract(swift student) I have been with the company for going on a year.

Some of the statements are factual, but what I see from constant remarks are frustrated people that work or have worked for this company that is entirely too large and completely staffed with entry level ignorance from top to bottom. We are huddled out onto the road in an 80K missle and are told to read and watch videos constantly. We are set up with trainers/mentors that are looking to pad their wallets with extra pay for drivers that stay with the company and after 40 hours on the road to drive as a team. Many mentors are absolutely the worst trainers as they only look for the next student to team with and make the extra dollar.

Many don't teach the things you have to know such as clock management or weight distribution and sliding tandems. You never fully understand your pay and because the company is bound to insure their drivers under the Obama care act. Every driver must enroll in a benefits package. So along with tuition deductions and benefits payments your checks average around $350-$450 a week take home for an OTR driver or $500-$650 per week for team drivers.

Until the commitment of tuition is complete then you begin to make money.(26 months) the problem is that many cannot live on those types of wages and trying to support a family. Another issue is equipment. Although swift continues to pull it's older trailers off the road many many more or still out there and MOST are absolute ***! And drivers that have not been properly trained to report the bad trailers just leave them for other drivers to use.

And so continues the cycle. Shops are staffed with very ignorant entry level workers where the turnover is off the chart. Example : Laredo terminal has employees that work the service window that don't speak English. But this is just an example of the ignorance and lackadaisical work place that this company uses.

Driver leaders in most cases came from other entry level positions in the company and have never seen the inside of a cab of a truck. And they all assume drivers should have been properly trained to safely and knowledgeably be able to drive a truck and use their Qualcomm's. Unfortunately (in my case) am always thrown another curve ball that I have no idea how to handle and the help you need is either incredibly sarcastic or just plain not at all helpful. Totally absurd and frustrating.

The turnover here as drivers is laughable. I'm guessing over 95% people leave daily and some just leave their trucks on the side of the road. I am past my 50K minimum and looking forward to moving on. One other note of frustration.

Company trucks are governed at 62 mph and O/O trucks at 68 we become a hazard on the road in zones of 70 mph or faster. Many other drivers hate us and deal with a daily bashing as many drivers in this company can't back a trailer....I personally got on as entry level but regret the decision daily...hope this helps.

I sit more then I drive this been going on for like 3 months now. I can't make any money sitting all the time my checks have decreased tremendously.

i have called about your large trucks using the county road in front of my home and tearing up the road. the road is much to narrow and has blind hills , let alone people walking along the side off road, my self mowing next to road and your 18 wheelers going by.

this is not an interstate it is a chip and seal road which wont stand up to 80,000 lb container trucks just cutting through. i live in spring hill kansas on county road 215th street between 169 hiway and gardner road also a county road. its just a matter of time till one of your big rigs hits a school bus or farm equipment and then maybe you will listen to complaints. maybe a big law suit from one of these accidents would wake you up.

your truck are cuttting through coming and going to the intermodal in edgerton kansas. please stop your rigs!!!!!

Guest

i have a complaint about your drivers, i live on a county road in spring hill kansas, and live on a narrow county road which is to narrow for your large trucks to be cutting through on, plus these heavy trucks are ruining the roads just to save miles and time. according to the county they are not supposed to be on these roads, a chip and seal road is not meant for these large trucks.

how would you like is if your trucks continually used your residential road in front of your house where your kids play or you and your wife might be bike riding. i know why they use my road to cut through from ks 169 highway to edgerton road and the railroad model there. i stopped one of your trucks 2 days ago and the driver fed me a

line of bull about his gps told him to turn on my county road. the trailer number was SWIF713**** and he was headed to 189th and kill creek rd, edgerton ks i live on 215th street spring hill ks not a straight cut through at all.

he came up from the south on 169 highway and turned on on 215th instead of continuing north to 175 and going west to kill creek rd. 175 th street is a truck route from 169.

today at 1230 pm another one of your trucks come rolling by my house on 215th, please correct so we dont have a dangerous situation get tragic. allen corder al_corder@***.com, 913-709-****
